unrelated
no coffee no talk.
next tue is gonna be mind-blowing no thanks to a certain unrealistic minion whose decisions and actions, unfortunately, affects me and this time round many many people. totally crazy but it'll be good to see what comes out of it.
i'm obsessed with a sandwich vending machine. egg and cheese is good.

ministry of food
i am a new MOF convert and today me and steph supported went to the mof branch at suntec city.
my food: seafood toji

steph had the tempura udon. her hands are in the "itadakimasu" pose =P

and because rice felt too heavy, i ate the toji on its own and had to order a little something extra to fill up my stomach: the daikon radish salad

both of us left the place satisfied but this time round our stomachs had no room for desserts. actually is because my stomach is still in the process of recovering from gastroxxxxx <-- cannot read doc's scribbling and not that keen to ask (=3=). if not i would have a dessert no matter how full i am.
matthew made all of us lol with his side a side b joke during lunchtime.

pocky and meiji crackers

aki has a kimu-taku smile. it is true.
will watch appleseed ex-machina when i get my hands on it. heck, maybe even the 2004 version if it's good enough.

fairprice bishan ran out of chocolate pocky. and i think i have just finished the last box in my stash. it's no good, i need to stock up already. and i DO NOT EAT strawberry pocky at all. meiji's plain crackers were on sale though, claiming the lowest price. indeed ne, if comparing to carrefour's prices.
i'm on a biscuit craze nowadays!

the kimchi and the cashew nut

it's kimchi!!! came across it on sale in this container form at $4 per box at the funan foodcourt. rather cheap, if you ask me, until i find cheaper ones ⊂( ^ω^)⊃ tried it just now and it's spiccyyyyyyy, and it's only a few spoonfuls of kimchi. if i had eaten it rightaway at the food court, it will be such a tak-glam situation to be in....

the cashew nut form of momo. he and his onii-chan koko are new additions to the house. they should be slightly more than 1 month old now and koko is now quite a fat furball. as compared to 2 weeks ago when we brought them back, they must have at least grown twice as big (more than twice, for koko's case)

siam kitchen and lexean

today was once again, yet another gathering that consists of the witches + mermaid - vampiress as she is currently overseas. originally i had plans for stephy to make her debut to this "unoccult cult", but she was not able to make it. in the meantime as ah jie's idea, we shall help to think up an alias for her. elf? orh eh suggested snow white cos she is so fair, but it is not really in tune with what we have so far, so it shall be shelved under to-be-further-discussed section.
it was quite a darn heavy dinner, but the siam kitchen food was quite nice especially the tom yum soup, green curry and fish prawn cakes *gulp*, so the cult came out full and satisfied
haven't read through the magazine yet, but i think i am in for a feast of interesting articles, largely on political figures and technology after a brief browse-through of the editorial and hilarious, yet tastefully done illustrations. this mystery magazine turned out to be a surprisingly good find. even though i have a hunch that it is a men's magazine cos there are only splashes of men's executive fashion right at the end.........._.

the accident with ginger, nowadays
within a short span of < 1 week, ore-sama mistook ginger pieces for morsels of salted vegetables, not once, but twice.
it's the colour of the soup base that the ginger had associated itself with, to deceive my innocent eyes, to create this nasty misunderstanding that left the unpleasant sensation when i expected nothing other than saltiness.
i am fine with ginger really, especially those japanese pink ginger shreds that go well with sashimi and plain white japanese rice. even for stir-fried liver cooked with yellow ginger shreds, i will eat both the liver and the ginger.
but it is not fine when one puts a solid morsel of the god-damned yellow ginger, crunching on it with every impression that it is a piece of salted vegetables. no, it isn't fine at all. when you find the world of gastronomical bliss that you have constructed to a crescendo comes crashing down in a go.
exaggerating? hey, food-related grudges aren't easy to forget, you know.
